Starting off what promises to be a fantastic year of engagements, following our win at the areas in March, the band put together an evening of music themed on the history of Daventry. Accompanied by images and the brilliant compere work of Roger Saunders, it was a night to be enjoyed by all.

A fantastic opportunity for the band, we were invited to play at the Daventry Open Weekend, held at Althorpe Estate.
We were given a prime slot right in front of the main house - which provided excellent acoustics, capturing our sound and bouncing it back out!
Thanks to Lisa for deping on flugel and playing the solos so well!
In July 2011, we held an official opening ceremony.
We were honoured to have Maureen Kenworthy (the last remaining member from the 1950s) with us to cut the ribbon.
Also taking part in the ceremony were members of the construction team, band chairman Ken Ewer and Musical Director Nigel Howard.
Throughout the build process, we popped in to check on the progress.
