When did you start playing and banding?

Started on cornet aged 8 yers, In Folkestone S.A. Y.P Band, graduated to trombone at about 9 1/2 years, when my arms were long enough to reach 7th position!!!

Funniest or most embarrassing banding moment

Too many to mention but will tell if anyone is really interested!! Eg "Horsey's Return! Or the day the flag fell down, or the drummer who got left behind.... !

Highlights of banding career

Playing for the state opening of Parliment in Cape Town, South Africa with the Cape Field Artillery Band.

This is a band that has a good mix of male and female players of all ages who carry out a varied programme of engagements throught the year.

They are a nice, sensible, sociable groupt of musicians whom I have been happy to be a part of for the past decade.
