Our questionaire was not enough for Julie!
My banding career started when my gramp took me to Hook Norton Band practice when I was 7 years old. He played 2nd Baritone for them for many years. He brought a cornet after leaving the army after the 2nd World War. I learnt to play it and played it for many years, I still have the cornet but no longer play it. I was taught by John Nun.
Gramp and I also played for Brailes Band until they folded. I played in my school wind band (the Wamner School).
When Hook Norton Band played in the contest in 2000 I was akes to play flugelhorn and continued playing it until 2006 when I decided to leave the band and to join Daventy Band. Best move I ever made!
I really enjoy playing for them, all the members are friendly and made me feel welcome.
I have also dept for: Burbidge, Spa Brass, Dunchurch, Chipping Norton.
I also play for a small brass group called "Brass Bits" in Deddington playing flugelhorn.
